Paper Planes

By Moroso

A functional sculpture, an enveloping and comfortable reading seat, resistant but at the same time light, suspended as if to defeat gravity. Paper Planes was born from the design of a fabric inspired by graph paper: a shape derived from folding and pointing paper exploring shapes and structures, producing angles, lines and polygons. The apparent simplicity, however, requires a masterful tailoring skill. During the tacking phase, the lines of the decoration, given the geometric peculiarity of the seat, impose perfect convergence, leaving the master craftsman not the slightest margin of error.
